Latest News as of March 26, 2020

SATURDAY MORNING OPEN HOUSE IS SUSPENDED UNTIL APRIL 3
In light of the current Harris County Stay Home order, (http://www.houstonchronicle.com/news/houston-texas/houston/amp/what-is-a-stay-at-home-order-harris-county-covid19-15153512.php), we are asking our members to refrain from bringing guests to our range.

We also ask for appropriate social distancing. We have four ranges, so if you see people crowding (ten or more, so a maximum of nine) then please go to another range.  You are welcome to shoot, but in the interest of availability, please leave when you are finished shooting.  We don’t want to be caught with a group in our facility.  Please don’t “hang around.”  Once you have finished shooting, please leave so that other members may safely shoot.

Per the City of Houston, you are not to sit on park benches so we are placing caution tape on the benches and tables. Do not remove the caution tape. We are following the lead of the city and county. Bring your own chairs. Do not sit on BFAC furnishings.

We are also asking that you use facilities before arriving or after your visit. Although the portapotties are available, now may not be the most ideal time to be sharing them.  Please consider bringing sanitizer or another appropriate method for washing hands when you come visit.

We ask our members to exercise prudence when using Buffalo Field Archery Club. It is our desire to keep this small oasis SAFE and  available to our members throughout the crisis. We all want to shoot, but the availability is dependent on all of us. Please do not attract unwanted attention with unwarranted behavior.

If you feel sick, if you’ve visited someone who is sick, have been exposed, been out of the country, or any other such risky behavior, we love you, but STAY HOME!!!  Please limit the risk of exposure of your fellow members.

Buffalo Field Archery Club will remain closed to the public (no Saturday open house) until April 3, 2020 subject to city and county ordinance.

Here is a link to the text of the order Lina Hidalgo, Harris County Judge, issued.

Even if you don’t care, you have a responsibility to those who do. Please give this virus the respect it’s due.

We are currently closed to the public. For more information, please contact us by email or call 713-489-6307.

Welcome!

Looking for an archery range? Look no further

We are a volunteer driven, non-profit organization that is home to one of the best outdoor archery facilities in the State of Texas!

We welcome bow hunters, target archers, recreational archers, and all styles of archery including traditional bows, Olympic style bows, and compound bows.

We host 3D shoots, field shoots, FITA style target shoots, youth programs and more. All this made possible by a host of volunteers, including certified coaches and instructors.

Our expansive practice range, with covered seating and ample parking, is available to membership from sunrise to sunset, almost every day of the year.

Rule #1 is that crossbows, broadheads, firearms, pets, alcoholic beverages, fires, hunting and any device that locks a bow at full/partial draw are NOT allowed at the range.  For more rules, click on the "Facility" tab above.

Visit an Open House

Buffalo Field Archery Club is open to the public, for free, on Saturday mornings from 8am until noon. This is a time for guests to come and visit the facility, meet a board member or volunteer, shoot some arrows and take a tour.

If you don't have your own archery equipment yet, borrow ours! We have some bows on hand for visitors to try archery before taking the plunge.

Before visiting, please be kind enough to read our range rules so you know what to expect. Thank you. We look forward to meeting you.
