Target and Field Archery

BFAC Fight the Outbreak

We started the Field Shoot League (see how to below). This is open to all members who are encouraged to shoot the league. You have until Sunday, May 3rd to complete this week and submit your score back to the mail box.  Range finders are permissible for both as distance is known. Monday May 4th will begin the World Archery Field, and so on for 8 weeks.  While I don’t yet have any specifics, we do plan on hav

ing some nice awards to winners - we’re not looking to make money on this, just to get everyone out shooting.  This week will be a half NFAA field shoot. See the video below on how to shoot field.  Please note, there are two field ranges, you can choose either, but you must shoot the other next time. The front range has regular targets (white) and the back range has hunter targets (black with a white center).  At the beginning of each range you will find mail boxes with score cards, please return in your cards with cash or check ($10 for the 8 week league and $5 per week with one score card per week turned in) also please enclose with your score card, your name, email and which range you shot.

Please use the links below to pay your $10 league fee.  Include your email address on your payment and on your score sheet when you drop it off.All social distancing rules apply. (https://www.readyharris.org/Stay-Home)  Try to shoot with family or close friends if you must. Wear masks, take them off to shoot as needed. Please wipe down the target faces and take turns shooting and pulling arrows. Or shoot by yourself.  Watch for snakes and other critters. Most importantly be safe!!!

USA Archery Programs

Junior Olympic Archery Development and the Adult Archery Program are USA Archery programs for youth and adults to learn and develop their archery skills and earn achievement awards.

Club shoots can be held at BFAC facility by any registered JOAD and AAP club. 20% of the student fees are payable to Buffalo Field Archery Club to help cover the cost of targets.

For Statewide target archery events and news, check the Texas State Archery Association page.
